In short, they are an improved and more self-sufficient version. That is why they have the following features:

They are semi-buried to favour the isolation that the earth provides.

They use tyres, both to recycle and save and to take advantage of their temperature retention.

They have the right conditions to create a microclimate inside. This way, you can harvest the plants, fruits and vegetables you want regardless of the weather season.

They are oriented in relation to the hemisphere to receive more sunlight. On the north side of our planet, these greenhouses must be positioned towards the south and vice versa.

They have a water supply that takes advantage of the rain.

How to build a home greenhouse of the future

The time has come to plow the land, so let’s get to work.

Open a pit deep enough for a small building. As we mentioned, the greenhouse will be buried halfway down.

It raises three walls of tires. The fourth wall should have them only at the base, positioned according to the orientation of the hemisphere.

The tires must be filled with soil in its entirety.

The fourth wall and its side of the roof must have the windows. This way, the opposite side of the roof will work to reflect light during the winter and retain heat.

You can coat the outside of the tyres with wood, plastic or polycarbonate. The interior requires an earth lining.

The water supply system must have an opening on the outside to take in rainwater. Inside, there must be water outlets for the harvest, as well as reserve barrels.

If you wish, you can add solar panels on the glass section of the roof for greater use of solar energy.

Looks expensive, doesn’t it? The truth is you can get the tyres for free, they take up the whole base of the structure. Likewise, using pallets will save you on wood costs.

All other materials are more expensive, but you will find that the greenhouse of the future is an unbeatable investment.

If you follow our guide, you will be able to enjoy a totally dynamic, efficient and innovative greenhouse.

You will no longer have to worry about seasons or weather conditions. Furthermore, you will be able to have a completely ecological and functional domestic agriculture, free of preservatives and pesticides.

Don’t wait any longer to build your new greenhouse of the future, you’ll love it!

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to build the greenhouses of the future and enjoy an ecological, self-sustaining and inexhaustible source of food?
